  • Plain White T's

Well I'm just sitting at home, yes I know it's 2 o'clock on a tuesday but I'm a student! Anyway, I've started listening to the three Plain White T's albums that I have on my computer, and they are actually really good. I got the albums a while ago listened to them and then forgot them, in my usual way. But last night they came on when I was listening to music on random, and they are probably one of the better bands I listen too.

Anyway just thought I'd share, I'm not sure how big they are in the states but they seem relativly unheard of in the UK. So if anyones reading this you can find them on Myspace and hear a couple of tracks I think, check them out.

  • V for Vendetta | 2006

Starring Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving Directed by James McTeigue

    cover

After seeing trailers and thinking 'that looks pretty good', then reading reviews that all either said that it was poor, or that it wasn't really worth the time, I decided to watch it for myself and find out.

set in the near future, britain is being ruled over by a totalitarian regime called norsefire. The film follows Evey Hammond (Portman) who at the beggining of the film is saved my a masked vigilante only known as V. You nevver get to see the face of V as he always wears a Guy Fawkes mask, probably because his face has been badly burned or mutated. V inspires a revalution whilst also carrying out his own personal vendetta against the government.

I actually enjoyed watching this film and was interested in the regime that ran the country, there was a fair bit of action throughout the film and two (that I can think of right now) great explosion scenes. Worth watching if only once. I would say rent it but its probably off the shelves, Lovefilm have it I know that!

  • Catch Me if You Can | 2002

Starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks Directed by Steven Spielberg

    cover

This is probably my favorite film right now, and I highly recommend it.

Set in the 1960's, this film is loosly based upon the book of the same title written by Frank William Abagnale Jr. And though the film states that it is inspired by the real life story of him, some parts of the film differ from the book, and what really happened, but you have to expect that with any film based on a true story. It is a highly entertaining movie which made me smile even after watching it for the third time. The relationship that builds up between Abagnale and Handratty (The FBI Agent that is chasing him) is enjoyable to watch through out the film as well as Abagnale's persistance to escape, in the later parts of the film.

This movie is suitable for almost any one and is worth watching.

  • Vida Es Una Lenteja

So this is home, at least for now anyway. Work on the actual website should be completed by friday at the latest. The website will include film reviews, music reviews/recommendations and game reviews. I know what you are thinking, too many reviews, and while I also have the same feeling I'm too busy trying to say "review" as many times as I can in this post to care. There should also be room for my own Blog type thing or weekly article about something.

So to summarise, reviews, main website ready any time from today to friday and life is in fact a lentil.
